Comments: The Athwals were moving into their lovely new home and needed a painting for a niche over the fireplace. They sent me the size requirements and colors and told me to go wild. I did, and so did they! They loved it. I spent many days going around Seattle looking for just the right shade of red sunflower. I finally knocked on a door and asked the owner of a garden if I could buy their sunflowers. I placed them in my studio window and painted fast before they wilted.
