About these Paintings
My work is painted and organized in series. Some are complete, and others are ongoing. Each series starts with an idea or a curiosity. (I wonder what would happen if...) As each series progresses, some questions are answered and more are formed. “What happens if I add more texture?” “How can I have a composition that runs from top to bottom?” “ How can I create a more dynamic color harmony?”
Even though my curiosity takes me to many locations painting diverse subjects from differing viewpoints, there are threads of continuity which bind my paintings across all subject matter; some of these are color, design, movement and texture. I am constantly exploring these ideas from different angles.
