DIANNA JUST RETURNED FROM A PAINTING TRIP TO SOUTHWEST CHINA For most of the month of April 2008 I traveled with a group of plein air painters through Southwest China. We explored some of China's most remote ethnic minority villages. We crossed mountains on dirt roads, and over a river in small hand made plank boats to paint some of China's vanishing cultural treasures. In Yunnan province we stayed in a large beautifully restored historical residence-now cultural retreat center...The Linden Center. At the end of our journey, the Lindens hosted a group show at the Nordica Gallery in Kunming China. SHOWS!!!!! August 30th-Sept 21....The Hidden Realms of China....a group show by 20 artists, including Dianna, who traveled to China in April 2008 at the Barnsite Gallery in Kewaunee, WI and Linden's Gallery in Ellison Bay, WI Opening reception will held at Linden's Gallery in Ellison Bay, WI, August 9, 2008 from 4 - 6pm. This four day outdoor workshop is for experienced and beginning artists alike.
Prince Edward Island is a world of fabulous architecture, lush gardens, rolling pastoral beauty and breathtaking coastlines… a perfect location for plein-aire artists.
PLEASE JOIN US FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE PAINTING WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE. Instruction will cover acrylic paint basics, composition and design, perspective, color harmony and impressionist technique. The class will take place at Orwell Corner Historical Village, where there is an abundance of historic buildings, beautiful gardens, and pastoral views, as well as good parking, food and restroom facilities. One afternoon, the class will convene at one of the Islands’ spectacular beaches. Sept 9-12 Hours 10:00am-4:30pm.....Tuition: $350 for all four days...... Please register in advance... $150 deposit is required to secure your place in class. Deposit is non-refundable after July 28th.
