Painting DemosLandscape Demo Click here for Dianna's new demonstration for Daniel Smith's Catalogue.I painted this 30" x 40" canvas on Location at the Lawrence Gallery in June of 2003 as a demo at their garden party celebration. 1) I started with a wash of quinacridone Gold fluid acrylic on a canvas that was textured with a heavy coat of gesso. 2)Before the paint dried, I wiped away the areas on the canvas that would be lighter in value using a damp paper towel.  
3)Then I laid in the large masses of color. 
4) at this point I began to work into the large masses by creating differences in temperature and value. 5)I worked on each area completing detais from largest to smallest shapes.
